Have you ever noticed that some dogs hate to go outside and potty when it’s raining? Even my water-loving Labradors come back inside really quick when it’s pouring out.

I usually have to carry my little dogs outside when it’s raining because they hate getting wet. Many times they just turn around and run back inside only to pee on the floor later. I guess they think, “Hey, what’s a little more water!”

One thing I have learned to do when it’s raining out is to put a couple of big towels down in front of the door so my dogs can “wipe” their paws as they run back inside. This doesn’t stop all the sloppy pawprints on our hardwood floor, but it does help. It also keeps my four-legged babies from slipping and falling all over the living room floor.
